Mr. Weaver called for approval of the minutes for the meeting held July 28, 1969 and the special meeting held August !1~ 1969. Mr. Sarno made motion that the minutes be approved. Yin. Wertz seconded. Unanimously carmied. OLD BUSI~q~SS Paroe! 8: Consider repeal of Chapter Il, ~'Filling Stations~ and ccmsider amending Chapter 31, ~Zoning Code~ to establish alternative criteria for filling station site locations within the City. Discussion was held regarding location of the stations and placemmnt of the pumps. Audience ~%en requested an introduction of Board member. ~. Weaver at this time introduced each Board member by name and business to the audience. Discussion of -Parcel 8 was resumed. The floor was opened for conments and discussion from the audience. Mm. Bill Leonard, attorney representing Caldos, came forward to clemify past d~scussion of the filling station ordinance and to submit Caldos' feeling toward the ordinance. It was suggested that the Board go ahead and hear conments for or against the ORDINANCE BEFORE. GIVING ITS OPZYION. Weaver offered that the Ordinance change 9ould involve everyone. ?~, Sarno also stated that individual stations not or. ly required the zoning, but they must also have the site approval of the _Poard. _This would be an advantage for the individual resident. -1- MINUTES. Paroels F~ G, H and I were individually pointed out by Mro Wer~zo Mr. Weaver then opened the floor to Caldos for explanation and dis-~ cussion in favor of the parcels. At this time, Mr. Leonard ca~e for- ward~ representing Caldos, and stated that the plat on the board was not exactly %he s~e as it is n~, due to various changes made along S. W. 29rd Avenue (Golf Road). Mr. Leonard then stated kis opinion of the parce/s pointing out the preplanning. Question from the audience was raised as to ~ether c~nstruction of these areas would cause blooking and closing of the canals. ~. Rossi came fozward and stated that it 'would not. Brief discussion of sewage control foll~,ed.
