A discussion was held on a site for a new hospital.
~. Smith, representing Dake g Associstes suggested buying., up the land

~d Bethesda ~.~ial Hospital and. enlargLng it and getting so~e
property ~,~st of town end building a new one. If bought as soon as
possible, the land ~x~ald be less expensive.
Mm. Weavem suggested som~,£zmre between Lanta~m and Boca Eaton, that would
be centrally located. He said there were plans already for a nm~ hos-
pital fur~er north of Kennedy Hospital.
Discussion was held regardiug recreational area west of town, nea~
~ey could combine a recreation-
Venetian Isle, where it is l~. Naybe
al park with a school recreational area. Lower land ~ould be easiem
to purd~ase snd lend itself better to recreation than to filling and
High~y I.~95 was discussed.
~. Allen asked if ld~ere was any way that the land coming off the high-
way could be zoned for sea, thing besides cc~merciaily, so that it ~ould
keep the big chain motels from building out tbm~e. That way, the
tourists ~,~ould have to c~me to t~, if they ~nted to stop.,
p~. Smith said there was practically no way to stop the chains from.,
building there.
M~. Same asked if son~ of the people decided ~o build something
c~ om residential out West of ?flitary Trail, outside the City
limits of Boynton Beach, how could we get them to beco~e psx~ of the
City, on com~ into the City limits?
Mr. Weaver said that if they wanted to use ou~ sewer system and wa~e~,
that would be their only alternative.

Mention was made of a N~rina Cr Boat Club for the City. ~e proposed
location suggested on Intracoastal, North of Ocean Avenue.
Discussion was held on ~e cGn~ercial area around S. E. 12th Avenue~
nea~ the Railroad tracks.
~i~. Smith advised not to promote the area commercially. He said that
it being-, so near the rail~ad tracks ~nd residential area would make it
bad commercially, t-lc said that the roads were not built for heavy tuue~s
that would be traveling on them., Suggested high density.
~. Cloutier suggested that tl~e war~houses in the North psat of town
be fixed: so that the front of them. would be attractive to the
people,
