Minutes 08-29-67 MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOAPJ), HELD AT CITY H~LL: TUESDAY, AUGUST 29, 1967 at 7:30 PRESENT: Robert Olds, Chairman ~aynard Wertz, Vice Chairman Albert Wehrell Water Dutch Joseph Brull Foy Ward ABSENT: Stanley Weaver (Wife's Birthday) Mr. Olds ua!led the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and explained that subject meeting had been called at the request of the City Council. M~. Dutch requested that each parcel be considered separately. Parcel 1: That part of the N. 421 ft. of Lot 5 of the Subdivision of See. 33, Topa~ship 45S, Range 43E, (measured along the west line thereof) which lies west of the west line of Sea.crest Boulevard, Palm BeaCh County records. Request: R-1 to R-3~ Location: 2003-210'9 S. Seacrest Blvd. Owner: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Mr. Wertz moved that parcel ~! be removed from the table. Motion seconded by Mr. Dutch and carried unan/mous!y. After a lengthy exchange of words between Mr. Dutch and Mr. Wehrell the chair ruled that Mr. Dutch should disqualify h/resell and not vote on this Parcel ,~t because of conflict of interest in subject parcel. Mr. Dutch asked that .Mr. Wehrell disqualify himself because of state- merits he had made publicly in reference to rental units. The Chairman called for any further~comments in regard to Parcel #1. Mrs. Joan Durante~ 203 S.E. 4th Ave., epresented a petition bearing 60 names ~ citing the need of rental property in Boynton Beach and questing approval of the requested change in zoning. Mr. Thiele stated to the Board that he and his partner, Mr. Susik in- tend to meet or surpass all requirements of the local building code and felt that their proposed development would be a credit to the area. Mrs. Wharton inquired as to the possibility of R-2 zoning. Mr. Hugh David advised that the pro, ed buildings would occupy approxi- mately 16.67o of the 4 acre tract of land known as parcel #1. Wemtz. - Ameadletter, from Mrs. G. Sedlacek in opposition to subject request was Motion to deny the request carried 4-1. Mr. Wertz moved to remove Parcel ~2 from the table, Motion seconded by Mr. Wehrell and unan/mously carried. Parcel ~2: Lot 7, and all that part of Lot 8, West of Seacrest Boulevard and North of Westchester Heights Subdivision; and Lots 63 and 64 of Crestview Subdivision; also Lot 11 and that portion of the W. % of Lot 12 lying North of S.W, 2$rd Ave.; Sec, 33~ Township 45S, Range 43E~ Palm Beach County records. Request: R-i~ R-1A~ R-1A~ to R-3A Location: West of 2001-2329 S. Seac~est Boulevard and North of S.W. 23rd Avenue. Owners: Florida Harbor Hills ~ Inc; Great Neck Communities ~ and Robert Rose~ Marie Rose & Robert Rose~ Jr. The Chairman called for anyone favoring the request to be heard. Mr. Sarno spoke in behalf of subject request.
