Mr. Olds, Chairman, opened the meeting.

NEW BUSINESS
Parcel 1:
Lot 5, Block C, Hathaway Park, as recorded in Plat
Book 13, Page 17, Palm Beach County records.
Request: R-2 to R-3 or C-1
Location: 801 South East 4th Street
Owner: Patricia Cameron
Miss Cameron, Owner, came fo~ard and advised that she is a Real Estate
Broker and operates her office from her home and would like to install
a larger sign in front of her office, but with the present zoning is
unable to do so. With R-3 zoning she would be able to put a much larger
sign to benefit her business. Also advised she really doesn't want the
C-1 zoning and would be ver~ happy with the R-3 zoning.
Mr. Olds read the letter dated August 8th, 1967, signed by twelve (12)
residents in the immediate area objecting to any change in zoning for
that area, copy of said letter being attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
Mr. DuBois spoke from the audience against the rezoning. Also Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Keopnick.
~ol. Wehrell moved that the application be denied due to the fact that
this is spot zoning and the Board is against spot zoning. Seconded by
Mr. Wertz, unanimously carried.

Discussion held.
Col. ~ehreil moved that in reference to the verbal request to Mr. Olds,
by Mayor Mdchael, relative to the problem of garbage cans, the Plann-
ing & Zoning Board, in looking into this matter, find there is an
adequate Ordinance presently on the books which covers practically all
phases such as time~ place and responsibility, Therefore, this Board
believes that there is no need for any recommendation on the part of
this Board and feels that the existing ordinance, Chapter 13~ of the
City Code of Ordinances, be reviewed and proper authorities should see
to it that it is enforced~ Seconded byMr. Wertz. Unanimously carried.
Beautification of the one mile striR between the~railroad_and U.S._~
North Federal~a~:
A letter was sent to Mayor Michael on this and a discussion held. It
was suggested that some good participation be given this project and it
is very possible that some of ~e Clubs in the area might be willing to
take it from there and arrange for the plantings~ etc.
Discussion was held on the Hospital parking lot being a decided water
hazard on Seacrest Boulevard.
