Minutes 09-09-65MINUTES OF PLANNING & ZONING BOARD MEETING HELD IN CITY HALL, BOYNTO~ BEACH, FLORIDA, SEPTEMBER 9, 1965 AT 7:<30 P.M. PRESEMT: William Wohlleb, Chairman Robert Olds Reverend Stauffer Stanley Weaver Harold Blanchette, Building Inspector The meeting was called to order by Mr. Wohlleb at 7:35 p.m. ing of the minutes of the meeting of August 6 was waived. Read- 0LDBUS~NES~ A discussion of the capital improvements program ensued, specifically the matter of beach acquisition, Mr. Weaver brought up the matter of zoning of these properties and the possibility that Ocean Ridge would not be in favor of having this valuable land taken off the tax roll. Mr. Wohlleb spoke in favor of storm drainage and street paving to beautify the city~ It was the consensus of the board to ask for a joint meeting with the city council to ascertain the board's part in the c~pital im- provements program, subsequent to a workshop meeting of the board called for Thursday, September 23. Mr. Blanchette was instructed to set this meeting up. REQUES.T FOR ZONING CHANGE APplicant - Mrs. Rosalie Mincey Location - 205 N. E. 13 Avenue ~an9e Requested - from Ri, single family to R2, duplex. This change was requested for the reason that Mrs. Mincey feels she can only afford mortgage payments if the property is bringing her some income. In keeping with the board's desire to upgrade~this section of the city, Mr. Olds made a motion that the request be denied; seconded by Mr. Weaver and carried unanimously. Planning & zoning Board -2- Sept. 9~ 1965 Mr. Weaver followed this by a motion bringing out several points, to wit: 1. That the City council be made aware through the City Manager that Ri zoning was creating a hardship to some people in this area; 2. That, therefore, some sort of financial aid be granted to them; 3. That the City Manager investigate the possibility of federal aid for these hardship cases. fhe motion was seconded by Reverend Stauffer and unanimously carried. In order to bring certain matters to the attention of the city council then is session, and due to the fact that there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned. Time: 8:05 p.m. Wiimz C AT.
