Mr. Wohlieb called the meeting to order. Mr. Weaver moved
that the minutes ofregul~r~ meeting of March 4, 1965, be waived.
Mr. 01ds seconded the motion which carried unanimously.
Mr. Weaver moved the minutes of special meeting of March 29,
i96~, be waived. Mr. 01ds seconded. Motion carried ~uanimousty.

It was brought to the attention of the Board that although
the o~mer of the property was Jack ~W. Law, the application for a
change in zoning was made by Don A. Boderocco, who anticipated
purchasing the property for the purpose of constructing and opera-
ting a trailer sales and service, to include the selling of camp-
ing trailers~ cabana sales, etc.
Mr. W~eb called for anyone in opposition to the change to be
heard. Mr. William J. Back, 636 Potter Road spoke to the Board
regarding his opposition to the proposed change in zoning stating
that he was accompanied by twelve of his neighbors and he spoke
for them. The chairman read a letter of objection from Jean M.
and Lawrence p. Henderson, 615 Potter Road addressed to the Board.

The applicant, Don Boderocco, 2208 Lake Osborne Road, addressed
the Board and said that he had requested the zoning as he wanted to
open a trailer sales and service on the location, that he intended

spending about $10,000.00 for a strand-steel building which would
be 40' x 60~ with 12' eave height, that his business was resent~

located on Ml!itary Trail and his reasons for wanting to relocate
were the lack of space in his present location and his desire to
get the exposure that Uo S. Highway wo~d afford. He pointed out
to the Board that there was another trailer sales on the block just
south of this property. He further stated that he would not mind
limitations put on his use of the property, provided the conditions
allowed him the sales and service of mobile homes and associated
products.
After discussion Mr. ~eaver moved that the Board recon~n~end
denial of the application on the basis that it would be spot zoning.
Dr. Raulston seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Cummins, the applicant and ov~ner of the property, appeared
before the Board and stated that he wanted to build a building to
house his shop, as a painting contractor and that in order for him
to use the umldm~g in his line of work the zoning had to be changed
from C-1 to C-2. He showed a plan for the building which incor-
porated several rental units in addition to the shop he wanted to
build to house his paint shop.
A letter objecting to the zoning change was read from Peter
and Patricia Va!canas, 141 S. E. !4th Avenue. Others presenting
objections to the zoning change were: Herbert King, !!1 S. E. i4th
Ave.$ Jack Hotchkiss, S. Seacrest Blvd.; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Reynolds,
114 S. E. !4th Ave.; Mrs Harry Lawson, 120 S. E. 14th Avenues Chas.

After discussion Rev. Stauffer moved that the Board recomzaend
to the ~ -

Motion carried tmanimously.
A discussion regarding the acquisition by the Oi-~y of addi-
tional beach property was held relative to the feasibility and the
committee that should look into the feasibility. Ray Jafra, Chair-
men of the Recreation Board spoke to the Board regarding the

Recreation Board's strong support of the City buying more beach
property and stated that the Recreation Board had set up a oublic
20th.hearing on the matter to be held in the Council chambers on-April
It was decided to address a letter to Council and express
the feelings of the majority of the Board members as supporting
vigorously the acquisition of additional beach property. Mr. Kain
offered his assistance in writing the letter to Council°
The meeting was adjourned at 9530 pom.
