Anyone presentir~ objections or requests sh~l! be recognized and will approach the t~ble so that the recordir~ machine can pick up the voice clearly, ~ ~itten petition or objection to be turned in to the Cha. irman~ ~$e will take written objections first and then v~ will allow as much time a.s ~ can to each speaker. The Chairma~u presented ~r. Pimentel and said he would be given five minutes in which to make some introductory remarks. ]'Xr, Pimentel said he had been approached by several individ~!s in the City ~o decla~d the zoning plan was prepared by hLmse!f and put before the ~ster Plan Co~nission for the purpose of shoving it down the throats of the citizens of Boynton Beach, ~f~ can be further from the truth because this plan i~ made according to the Statutes of the law of Florida. It is my interpretation of the type of zoning that should predominate in the areas shown. The areas ~re considered by every member of the ~aster Plan Commission without exception, They approved of the entire plan for presentation to a public hearing so that if a~vone h~ objection to the type of zoning in any way and for aDV reason~ such objections could be pre~ sented at this lr~.blic hearir~g, These zones are c~eated for the health, ssfety and public welfare of the comm~uity~ They are not p'ermanent~ they are tentative smd for study~ If a~yone here tonight has any ojection to the zoning as shovm on this map, then they must make their objection known by coming, up to the plan here and pointing out the area, and I will discuss it with you in public and make a recommendation to the ~aster .PI~ Commission to do one of three things:- 1~ if your point of view in my opinion is what it should be~ ~ personally will recommend to the l~aster Plan Conu~i~sion that they study it further v~th m6r recommendation for approval ~ 2~ If your suggestion could endanger the a~tting property or property across the street I will recom~oend to the ~[aster Plan Commission that it be given further study and at the next public hearing a decision will be presented to you~ Zf you present a chef'ge from what we have he~ because of conditions depreciation of property, public afe~y being involved, or other conditions e×istin~, in that area, I will reco~me~xt to the Commission that further study be given~ with your opinion as to v~ly it should be changed. I want to say that every statement you make here. tonight will be to the ~.~aster Plan Commission and will be on record for you and for the public. You mus~ remember a zoning plan can beautify a City or ruin it. I w~t to point out that in connection with the B !
