~!INUTES OF A EEGULAR ~!EETING OF TEE BOYNTON BEACH PLANI~ING BOARD HELD AT THE CITY HALL, BOYETON BEACH, OCTOEER 10, 1958. PEESEET: Mayor Stanley Weaver. Chairman Henry 5~erkel, Jr. ~r. F .j. RaCey. ~r, John Simmonds. ~r. ~artin Durkin. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7.30 P.~I. The minutes of the last regular meeting of September 26, 1956~ were read. Mg. Durkin said it was Mr. 0yer who made the motion regarding the spot zoning requested by the Boone Realty Company. %~ith this correction he moved that the minutes be accepted. ~r. ~cey seconded. Motion carried. It was agreed that any letter rece~ed addressed to the Planning Board should be acknowledged i~ediately, and the writer ir~formed that it will be brought up at the next meeting of the Board. Mr. Durkin volunteered to 'phone to the City ~anagers of West Palm Beach and Delray Beach to see if they have any information which might be of assistance to this Board. It was agreed that the City Clerk should be asked to provide the Board with a large map of the City showing zones, etc., for their own use, and also smaller copies of the map for each member of the Board. There was a long discussion on zones for heavy, medium and light industries, and the necessity for a special ordinance to be set up specifying juryman and cannot be done in such zones. It was agreed that a meeting should be held to discuss the desir- ability of an over-all plan for the area East of the Dixie to Lake Worth to be zoned commercial; after which the ovmers of the property concerned would be asked to attend a meeting to give their opinions after being informed of the intentions of the Board. ~r.
