PRESENT ~ayor Stanley ~eaver Chairman Henry Merkel, Jr. Mr, George Feltis Mr. Har~ey Oyer ~r. Martin Dmrkin ~r~ John Simmonds Er. F.J. Racey. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8.00 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting of ~ay 23rd were read. Mr. Feltis moved, 2~r. Durkin seconded,that the minutes be accepted as read. Motion carried. ~(r. ~(erke~. read, for the benefit of the new mambers, the minutes of the first mSe~ir~ 'of the newly organised Board held on February 2~, 1958. He also explained the working and purpose of the Board. In reply to a question from Dlr.Durkin, ~f~yor Weaver said the Board was set up strictly by appointment. D~r. ~rkel read a letter from ~r. J.R.Dewey, dated July 19, 19~6, regarding the zoning of Dewey Heights. ~ayor Weaver said this has already been done. A letter was read from Willis B. Wyckoff, Robert Q. ~yckoff and Harold G. Tobin, dated June 27, 1958, requesting a change in zoni~ of certain lots in Block 2 of Ls~ke Boynton Estates from Class 'A' Resi- deatial to Class 'D' Con~nercial. l~I~yor Weaver said aceeptance of this request had been recommended to be zoned Commercial 'D~ from N.W. 8th Street to N.W. ?th Street, one lot depth on South side of N.~. 2nd Avenue. A letter dated June 22, 19~8, from Ann Barrett, ~s read requesting Lots 2, 3, & & 5, Nlock 1, Central Park Subdivision, be zoned for light industry, comparable to the present neighborhood. This v~s tab2ed pendin~ action on industrial zoning, ~iss Barrett to be so info,ed. ~ayor Weaver stressed the necessity o~ setting up the definitions of the various kinds of industry as soon as possible so' that things can go right ahead. -2- Mr. ~lerkel said the R.D.B, have been pressing him for some time for a zoning map of Boynton Beach shewing the industrial areas. A letter v~s read from the Boone Realty Compar4y, dated August 14, 1956, requesting spot zoning to permit a duplex building on Lots 1~5, 1~ and 147, Block A., Boynton Hills Subdivision. ~r..~moved that th~.s be handed to the Zoning Board as the Planning Board. do not care to make a recommendation on it, but would like to re-emphasize a previous reco~endation that they consider the neighborhood to be for single family residences and are anxious to maintain the zoning~ standard. ~r. Feltis seconded, Eotion carried. A letter was read from Frank A.Aud~uo, dated September 2~, 19~6, requesting re-zoning of lots 19, 20, El, £2, 23 and 2~ of Block 2, Country Club Estates, to industrial. It was agree8 that ~r. Audano be informed by letter that this is being considered as an industrial area, and it is just a ~tter of time when it will be so zoned. A letter was read from ~r.~Valter I~tch, dated June 13, 1956, requesting re-zoning of Lots 1, 2, 3, ~ and 5 in Block 6, Central Park Annexe, to light industrial. It was~ agreed ~r. Dutch be informed by letter that the Industrial Committee is submitting an ever-all report in the near future, and his request w~l~ be considered at that time. A letter was read from D~r. Joseph Delmond, dated June 13, 1956, requesting re'zonings, of certain lets in Bowers Park .~rentir~ on the F,EoC. railroad, from residential to light industrial. It was agreed ~r.D~,~hd~:t~ informed to the same effect as Mr, It ~s agreedtthat the regular meetings of the Board should be resumed on the 2nd and ~th Wednesdays, at ?.30 ~r.
