Chairman Thompson called the meeting to order at 7:00 P. M.,
introduced the Members of the Board, Mr. Newbold, and the
Recording Secretary. Mr. Newbold wished the Members to know
and the minutes to reflect that this was an official meeting
that was properly called through the Office of the City
Clerk. Chairman Thompson announced that there were no
applications tonight. He recognized the presence in the
audience of Arthur Berman, Chairman of the Community
Appearance Board and Former Mayor Nick Cassandra and Frank
Cassandra.
MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 12, 1988
Mrs. Lewis moved, seconded by Mr. Newton, to approve the
minutes as presented. Mr. Newbold called attention to the
3rd line in the second paragraph on page 11, and said the
word "compatible" should be changed to "permissible". The
minutes were approved as corrected.

Discussion - Changes to Zoning Code
Mr. Newbold explained to the Members that (1) he saw a

necessity to have this meeting for the purpose of approving
the minutes of the last meeting, and (2) he wanted to inform
the Members of the changes in the Zoning Code. The way the
Code is now written, it has made it possible for some
permits to be issued which had normally come before the
Board, particularly those that were due to undersized lots.
Mr. Newbold explained the changes to the Members.
