2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
3 FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TENANT BILL OF RIGHTS;
4 AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

6 WHEREAS, Ordinance 22-017, Tenant Notice and Bill of Rights, was approved by the
7 City Commission on November 1, 2022; and
8 WHEREAS, Section 13-97 of Ordinance 22-017 requires landlords to provide Tenants a
9 Bill of Rights at the time of entering a rental agreement; and
10 WHEREAS, the intent of the Tenant Notice and Bill of Rights is to provide notice
11 requirements tenants of residential properties within the City; and
12 WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach Florida deems it to be in
13 the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City to approve the Tenant Bill of Rights.
14 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
15 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
16 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
17 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption.
18 Section 2. The City Commission hereby approves the Tenant Bill of Rights attached
19 hereto as Exhibit "A".
20 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
