87-PRESOLUTION NO. 87-p
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, REGARDING
COUNTY FUNDED ACTIVITIES FOR FY 87/88 AND
RELATED CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH CONCERNS.
WHEREAS, through Conlnissioner Dorothy Wilken, a request had
been made that the City of Boynton Beach submit in writing a list of
items that the City would like jointly funded or funded by the County
for FY 87/88; and
WHEREAS, the City had been requested to present these items
in the form of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, there are some City/County related activities other
than capital projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Council of the City of
Boynton Beach request that the following projects and activities be
favorably considered by the Palm Beach County Board of County
Con~n~ssioners.
Ao GENERAL MATTERS
1. Develop a sm~ll ad hoc working committee to seek ways
to implement ideas put forth at the December 10,
1986, Municipal County Workshop.
2. Formalize a process through which issues relating to
developments in the unincorporated areas, within the
City service area, can be resolved.
3. Stricter development guidelines for development in
the unincorporated areas serviced by the City.
4. Keep City informed as early as possible about County
activities within the City limits and, ideally, keep
the City informed as to County activities adjacent to
and near city limits.
CAPITAL PROJECTS
1. Increase the width of Congress Avenue to six (6)
lanes.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this
Proceed with the westward extension of Woolbright
Road.
Thoroughly construct Miner Road from High Ridge Road
to Congress Avenue.
Review of potential for increased interlocal coopera-
tion, coordination and automatic response operating
procedure between the County Fire Rescue, Boynton
Fire/EMS and Lantana Fire Departments.
