VII. Unfinished Business
i. Update on Name Tags, shirts, table cloth and banner
Chair Watson stated that she was looking at tablecloths and recalled Mary
DeGraffFenreidt, Recreation Manager, had said that the Board can use the Recreation
and Parks Department tablecloth. She advised that someone will sponsor a tablecloth
with the Senior Advisory Board's name on it with the City Logo. She asked if the members
wanted a tee shirt. After discussion, the members decided that the badge was sufficient
and the tee shirt was not necessary.
Ms. Levine pointed out that Eleanor Krusell has red volunteer shirts. She suggested that
it would be sufficient if the members get the tee shirts from her to wear with the badge.

i. Tequesta Alston (Brain Matters Research)
No presentation was made and this item was moved to Unfinished Business.

that they did not have a lot of information at the table, but that they spoke about the Senior
Resource List, had a sign-in sheet and that they are trying to get an email list together.
She advised that without the tablecloth, people approached the table to find out what they
represented. She announced that she mingled and Tequesta Alton, of Brain Matters
Research, was there, so she asked if she would speak at a Senior Advisory Board
meeting, and if so, to contact Chair Watson. She said it was a good community day and
a good day to talk about the Board.
Vice Chair Ferrell stated that he also attended the Day of Service and it was a good event
helping to clean up the community around the Sims Center.
ii. Transportation Disadvantaged "TD Program" (D. Ferrell)
Vice Chair Ferrell distributed information and spoke about the Paratransit Service by Palm

have Pickle Ball Courts at the Ezell Hester Center. She said that she will get with Todd
Johnson, Recreation Supervisor, to try to get free passes to distribute to seniors. She
thought seniors would be excited as they have new pickle ball courts at the Tennis Center
at 3110 S. Congress as well.

courts at the Hester Center are listed in FunFare Magazine and that the six pickle ball
courts at the Tennis Center are permanent, but the ones at the Hester Center are flexible.

event and she requested that the members bring back ideas for an event that they can
hold this year. She said that they had met with the City Manager and spoke about holding
a signature event at the Cultural Arts Center, and mentioned that they would have to pay
to rent a space there, but the City Manager would look into it.
Chair Watson stated that the food caterer for the Kinetic event was excellent and that the
entire setup for the venue was great. She suggested that they have something like that,
but that the Cultural Arts Center does not yet have a sound system.
Mr. Ferrell commented that a Downtown Art Festival would be good.
Ms. Levine noted that Glenn Weiss, Public Art Manager, has exhibits every two or three
months at the Cultural Art Center. She suggested that they could find senior artists in

Ms. Levine requested that the members send her ideas and pictures for the PowerPoint
Presentation. She said that she is working with the City on the conduit to have the Senior
Resource List printed.
Mr. Johnson stated that the issue for the list is not the printing, it is the constant updates,
how many brochures to print, and how often the brochure would be updated.
Ms. Levine said that they should update once a quarter or at least once every six months
and that 500 copies of the brochure should be printed to start.
Mr. Johnson stated that he will research the cost and report back to the Board or Mr.
Rolle.
