3) The builder shall verify all dimensions by taking

tamped and compacted, prior to pour.
CONCRETE AND MASONRY
1) Foundations and slabs are designed for soil bearing
capacity of 2000 psf. (soil - undisturbed sand and
rock).
2) Concrete footings, slabs and beams shall be 2000
psf. at 28 days.
REINFORCING BARS
1) Unless otherwise specified, reinforcement shall be
new billet steel meeting A.S.T.M. A 615- Gr. 60.
All reinforcing bars shall be securely wired
together. Columns, beams and stirrups shall be
tied sufficiently to hold them securely in place.
2) Placing of bars shall conform to CRSI recommended
practices for placing reinforcement bars.
3) Cover to reinforcement shall be :-
3” - for concrete deposited against earth.
2" - for concrete exposed to weather. &
1- 1/2" - for concrete beams and columns.
LUMBER
1) Lumber shall be southern pine #2 or equal and wood
construction shall be in accordance with A.I.T.C.
2) All wood in contact with masonry or exposed to

3) Plywood shall be exterior type COX grade at all
exteriors for sheathing and roof underlayment.
4) Structural wood metal connectors shall conform to
the latest requirement of the Florida Building
