This letter is to respond to your comments on the Application for Permit.
ELECTRICAL: GFCI device must be located in a readily accessible location per NEC
210.8
Respond: On page 3& 5, added notation that electrical service needs to be accessible as specified in
NEC 210.8
MECHANICAL: Application indicates 2 new exhaust fans, however no information is shown on the
drawingsregarding exhaust fans.
Respond:There no additional exhaustfans added to the scope of work. General Contractor will
provide an errata letter to change wording.
PLUMBING: Add detail for the relocation of the stack;107.2.1BBA to FBC.
Show compliance for an Automatic Clothes Washer, shall discharge through an Air-Break…
Respond: On page 3, the plan shows the existing 3” vertical plumbing stack –this is not being
relocatedor modified in anyway. Scope of Work is to add anew 2” branch drain line from Washer
Outlet Box to existing vertical sanitary line.Air Break is provided in Washing Machine Outlet Box(See
Laundry Clos –Sanitary)

Respond: Please note that page 7 has been added to address both comments:
This isolates dryerduct layout, detailand mechanical noteson to separate sheet as requested.
Total developedlength of dryer duct (existing and new) from termination box to roof jack is34’– this
accounts for 24’ of straight length of ductplus (4) 45degree elbows (@ 2.5’ each).
Added notation on detail#1 to specifythatthe passagewayof ductshallnotbe reduced alongfull path.
Added clarificationthat the minimumrequired open area ofductto be12.5 s.i.
