In rt:f~rcncc to our discussion yesterday, J mentioned our not having received any further questions
Or comments from staff since oW' resubmission (111 March 19, 1996 other than discussions with Mr.
Hukill concerning our proposed paving detail.
The parking deck layout is shown on sheet 51'-1 of the submission package. I mentioned that we
;jre proposing to mirror the existing parking field bay spacing. This would allow tive bays at 63'
width and two end bays at 61' each in the north - south direction. \Ve also have existing landscape
islands at 9' width on each side of the deck and as such have SOllle room to expand the width;
h<Jwcvc:r, we would like to prCSt'fve grade level parking by maintaining the bays as ~hown.
OUf overall dimensions east - west is 243' which includes 23 spaces at 9' width (207') plus two end
spaces at J 8' length (36'). This allows 27' drive isles at each end of the bays as shown.
1 spoke to a deck cQ.,flsultant who advises that ~tructural columml arc generally 24" squar~ and wall
parapets arc generally 8" wide. Both columns and parapets will result in exceptions to the normal
