Bhide, agent for Vari-Care, Inc., owner, is requesting approval to construct a 70 bed expansion to the existing 110 bed nursing home. The existing facilit~ proposed to be renovated in the future, will remain as is. One of two existing parking lots will be replaced to accommodate the new expansion. The other lot, north of the existing building, is nonconforming and will be used as a service area only. Existing problems with emergency vehicle access and truck traffic will be remedied with the new parking lot/driveway design by widening access aisles and eliminating pavement connections to S.W. 27th Avenue, a local street serving a residential neighborhood.
