This shows a 9' space for the sign, of which the foundation will use 4', leaving 5' for the easement and water main. GCD/bdb ~ \ , ,'- .:#38 :.,., ... MEMORANDUM August 3, 1989 TO: FROM: George Davis ., Tambri J. Heyden Assistant City Planner Snyder/Hodes Medical Office Building - Administrative Site Plan Modification Request Please be advised that on Tuesday, August 1, 1989, the Technical Review Board denied the above-referenced request for sign approval due to the staff comments below from the Planning Department and the attached staff comments from the Utilities Department. The next deadline for administrative review is 5:00 PM, August 11, 1989, at which time 6 sets of plans addressing staff comments can be resubmitted for review. RE: 1. Specify sign setback from front property line. Appendix A, Section 11-A 10. 2. The advertising shown violates the sign code and cannot be approved by the Technical Review Board. A freestanding sign can only advertise the project title or one main use. (Chapter 21, Section 21-3, Freestanding Sign). The purpose of the language was to limit identification of tenants and their addresses in a multi-tenant building to a directory sign, which could be erected on site. (Chapter 21, Section 21-15d) 3. According to the final sign-off drawings retained in the Building Department, parking changes have been made which have not been reviewed by the Technical Review Board. These changes can be reviewed at the next deadline if submitted with the revised sign plans. /? J~9s.. ;?l._,~ TAMBRI J. Attached you will 'find a marked-up. plan sheet depicting those improvements necessary to receive a driveway permit from the Department. The improvements include extending the existing median 25 feet to the west and restricting certain movements through signing and pavement marking. These actions do not fully address the operational problems currently experienced in this area on Boynton Beach Boulevard. Due to numerous land-use and traff~c-pattern changes since this study was first initiated, our staff will reevaluate the safety and capacity, characteristics on this r~adwayfrom N. W; 7 Court to, Industrial Avenue. We anticipate further turning-movement restrictions and improvements to left-turn-storage lanes., All affected property owners will be given an opportunity for input.
