FROM: Michael E. Haag, Zoning & site Development Administrator
RE: NCNB - FREE STANDING SIGN
, Upon review of the above mentioned project, the following
comments must be addressed in order to conform with Boynton Beach
City Codes:
Show on site plan drawing the location of sign by providing
dimensions from two (2) adjacent property lines to the edge
of sign face.
In order to facilitate the permitting process, the following
information should be included within your documents submitted to
the Building Department for required permits.
1. State on plans that all other free standing signs at the
site will be removed.
2. Sign structures located in easement will require written
approval from all parties which have access to easement.
3. The definition of free standing sign allows the sign to
identify title of project or one (1) main use only. Tenant
to provide letter from owner of site stating that they
accept these requirements for the proposed free standing
sign.
4. Sign structures that exceed thirty-two (32) square feet
require drawings prepared by a Florida registered engineer
or architect showing and stating that the design of the sign

Administrative Site Plan Modification - File No. 406
DATE:
Please be advised of the following Planning Department comments
with respect to the above-referenced request for administrative
approval that will need to be addressed on 2 sets of revised
plans for "final sign-off" prior to applying for a sign permit:
1. Show the new location of the revised sign detail submittea
after the site plan deadline. As discussed, the revised
sign must be set back from the front property line a minimrirn\
distance equal to the width of the existing utility ease-
ment. A setback greater than this minimum distance is
acceptable provided the sign does not encroach into the
existing access easement.
2. The wording of the sign as shown on the revised sign detail
does not meet the sign code which states that freestanding
signs shall identify "only the project title or one main
usell. A sign variance application must be submitted to the
Building Department and approved by City Commission prior to
issuing a sign permit.
