Hi Devin,
No physical materials are required, nothing needs to be mailed to us/brought in person, just an email is fine. The technical specs
(paint swatch/model number) or color samples of the paint would be required for submittal. If you have these handy you can
just email them to me.
Regards,

Im sure we can get those. Will you require that for review? I have someone coming to your office today. I wish you'd have
mentioned this requirement earlier.
Will see what I can do.
Javier - please stop by Benjamin Moore and grab these samples on your way to Boynton this morning?

Good morning Devin,
What you sent should meet the aforementioned code section. Do you have the paint specs/chips for the new proposed colors?

Good afternoon Devin,
I understand the need to get this completed ASAP, and color standards from corporate. The City appoints
Planning & Zoning to review all applications against the code, of which number of paint colors is regulated (LDR
Chapter 4, Article III, Section 3.D.3.a, which states that “A minimum combination of three (3) complimentary
building colors shall be used for each development. Painted surfaces include the wall, trim, and accents.”
https://codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/boyntonbeach/latest/boyntonbeach_fl/0-0-0-80413)
A community design appeal is available (LDR Chapter 2, Article II, Section 4.B,
https://codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/boyntonbeach/latest/boyntonbeach_fl/0-0-0-77227), however this process
requires the application to go to the City Commission for public hearing, with the next available hearing on January
2, 2024 (https://www.boynton-beach.org/325/Submittal-Deadlines), which unfortunately does not meet your
timeline requirements.
The plans mention a “Silver Chain” paint swatch that is marked “not used”. I’m not sure why this was shown if
not used, but this could be a good candidate for a third color.

Andrew
I wanted to reach out via phone today to discuss your comments on the repaint permit application but time has
gotten away from me.
Based on your rejection we have a 3rd color requirement. I have to be frank here that BOA Store Design is
currently *only* specifying 2 Exterior Paint colors are approved for their entire portfolio. Deviating from this
plan causes ripples up the chain and likely will cause us further delays. I am having one of our team members
stop by soon to discuss but is there someway we can get an exception here? If we d as directed, store design
may need to get involved and that is a whole different type of delay.
As I mentioned when the awning permit got rejected, we are trying to work as quickly as possible and have a
closeout deadline on 10/30.
I have copied the PM for the client (Nigel Wilford JLL) on this communication as he is reaching out to store
design for some type of direction. Currently there is no approved 3rd color for BOA buildings and we need a little
help. Any further communications on the repaint permit will have client copied so they are aware of everything
we are attempting to do to meet both your code requirements and their expectations.
Nigel – Feel free to comment.
Any advice or reference to someone higher up I can discuss this with would be much appreciated.
