RE: Modification to Existing Walmart 2789 Boynton Beach, FL
Dear City of Boynton Beach,
Please see below regarding Walmart 2789 Boynton Beach located at 3200 Old Boynton
Beach Road. This site was previously permitted through South Florida Water
Management District under permit #50-03824-P-03. The original permit for the Walmart
was designed for the parcel of ±32.59 acres. The existing site sites at ±556,121 sf/12.77
acres pervious with the remaining ±19.82 acres impervious including the ±5.04-acre
Walmart. The stormwater system is designed to flow into an existing wet retention pond
to the west of the existing Walmart store.
The proposed development will consist of the addition of ±3,211 sf expansion on the
existing store by replacing a portion of sidewalk. A ±220 sf landscape island is proposed
to be removed and replaced with two ±142 sf landscape islands. This will then decrease
the existing impervious sf by ±64 sf. Due to the reduction of impervious area, the
proposed system is not being negatively impacted. The development will be maintained
and operated by the existing Walmart.
