Approval Process
Initial Re vie w: Within twenty (20) busine ss days following the s ubmittal of the Major Site , the city e nginee r or des igne e will re vie w the c ivil engine ering drawings to
e ns ure that the paving, grading, and drainage complies with the review c ite ria.
If de fic ie nc ie s pe rsist on the drawings, the c ity Engine er will provide the applic ant's engine er of rec ord with a writte n ac count of all the is sues , c iting the spec ific
c hapte r, artic le , s ec tion and paragraph. Upon re c e ipt of s uc h findings , the e nginee r of re c ord will make the ne c e s s ary c orrec tions or re vis ions as de fined in the
writte n s tatement, and s ubmit the c ivil e nginee ring drawings to the e nginee ring divis ion.
O nc e the drawings are found to be ac ce ptable, the c ity Engine er or de signee s hall is sue a written s tate me nt of tec hical compliance , and notify the applic ant of any
fe es and s ure ty bas ed on the c os t e stimates provide d by duly lice ns ed profe ss ional in the State of Florida.
T he Land De velopme nt Permit shall be iss ue d by the Enginee ring Division onc e the afore me ntioned items, the final plat and any othe r doc uments required by the
City Engine er or de s ignee , are found to be ac c e ptable and me ets the provis ions of the Land De velopme nt R egulation.
A pre -c ons truc tion mee ting s hall be re quire d prior to c ommenc e me nt of work on the impervious s urfac e, off-s tre et parking, vehic ular us e are a and loading zones ,
paving, grading, and drainage s ys tems , and other required improve me nts .
In orde r to c lose out the projec t, the engine er of rec ord will ce rtify in writing that the re quire d improvements we re installed under this res pons ible dire ction; that all
improvements c onform to the approve d c ivil e nginee ring drawings , and all laws , re gulations , c odes , and ordinanc es .
