REQUIREMENT: P er C hapter 5.X.A.6.d.3 of the Engineering D esign Handbook and C ons truction S tandards, “each wet detention/retention facility designed for storage of stormwater runoff in an open impoundment shall have a continuous berm, at least twenty (20) feet wide with a cross-slope no steeper than 8(H): 1(V), graded adjacent to the shoreline”. DEVIATION: The developer intends to provide 4:1 slopes to a point 2’ above the control water elevation, consistent with S outh F lorida Water Management District (SFW MD) criteria. BACKGROUND: 1. This is an existing golf course with existing lake banks that were constructed with 4:1 slope banks per SFW MD permit 50-00636-S. 2. The proposed project is for modification of the existing lakes and existing golf holes only. 3. The developer intends to provide 4:1 slopes to a point 2’ above the c ontrol water elevation, c ons istent with South Florida Water Management District (SFW MD) criteria. CONDITION OF APPROVAL: 1. Developer shall obtain permit modification approval from SFW MD prior to Land Development Permit issuance. The waiv er shall rem ain in effect for as long as the corresponding site plan approval remains valid, unless am ended or otherwise modified. A copy of the E ngineering Waiver approval letter mus t be submitted with any related development applications/permits to avoid any delays in the processing of your application/permits.
