PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM NO. 94-228
Agenda Memorandum for
July 19, 1994 city Commission Meeting
TO: Carrie Parker
City Manager
FROM: Tambri J. HeYden'~
planning and Zoning Director
DATE: July 14, 1994
SUBJECT: Boynton Festive Center - MSPM #94-005
Major Site plan Modification
Please place the above-referenced item on the City Commission
agenda for July 19, 1994 under Development Plans, Consent Agenda.
DESCRIPTION: This is a request to amend the May 17, 1994 site
plan approval of the Boynton Festive Center to be located at the
northwest corner of Old Boynton Road and Congress Avenue, zoned
C-3. The changes include deletion of one of the outparcel
buildings, which increases parking and decreases the shopping
center square footage by 7,506 to a total of 96,512; relocation
of the service area and some parking spaces west of the main
building to the south side of this building; redesign of the
parking area west of the outbuilding to address May 17, 1994
Commission comments; inclusion of a shopping center sign program
and elevations for the outbuilding and redesign of the elevations
for the main building (new elevations do not meet the community
Design Plan as was the case with the May 17th elevations).
RECOMMENDATION: The Planning and Development Board unanimously
recommended approval of this request, subject to staff comments
(Public Works Department Memorandum #94-170, Utilities Department
Memorandum #94-223, Engineering Department memorandum dated June
27, 1994 and Planning and Zoning Department memorandum dated July
6, 1994).
