X ~ l' As you can see from the above comparisons e~len if all Tamarinds
~ were counted as non-native, the overall project holds to the min-
~ imum 50% native requirement. Phase II or Hops may not reach the
t -, 50% minimum but because this project was approved as an ov'erall

~ ~~ ~ Additionally I woa1d like to point out that the Hops Restaurant

~J l~hanged from a native tree (Silver ButtonwOOd),. which were ac-
, cepted on Phase I, to a non-native tree (Chinese Fan). Without

Our File No.: 3246.01
Dear Ms. Hayden:
On May 19, 1995, Jeffrey Roncone, the architect for Borders Books
and Music, delivered to your office elevations for the proposed
Borders Book store revised pursuant to your comments made at our
meeting held in your offices on May 1, 1995. I spoke to Michael
Haag nearly two weeks ago. At that time, he indicated that he had
reviewed the elevations and had submitted them for your review.
For the last two weeks I have been attempting to contact you to
discuss the status of the approval of these elevations.
As you know, Borders Book store has already submitted construction
plans to the Building Department and is ready for permits to be
issued. They are only being held up on the approval of the
elevations by your Department.
I feel that Borders has compromised significantly and has made
every attempt to coordinate their elevation with that of circuit
city's. I hope that in light of this, you will be able to
administratively approve these elevations at your earliest
convenience. It is imperative that I hear from you as ~oon as
possible.

native percentages should not be penalized.
There are 28 Tamarinds slated for the Phase II project. We will
endeavor to insure that they all will be native. However if they
are not, then it is my professional opinion that the above cal-
culations prove that the project meets the native tree percent.
I will be available to discuss this with you by phone or in a
meeting. If this letter is sufficient to finalize this matter,
please respond in writing to me and I will forward copies to my
client and the Landscape Subcontractor. Thank you for your at-

PROJECT:
BOYNTON FESTIVE CENTER
Pursuant to a request by the Developer. J have researched the necessity for platting
tha above mentioned parcel. My findings aro as follows:
1. CItY Code requires plats :f more than 3 contiguous parcels:
. Site contains 3 parcels.
2. Palm Beach County will now accept 3 fgeOrded Boundary Survey with Site plan
in lieu of platting for commercia! parcels.
Your opinion of the necessity to plat, from a legal standpoint, would be greatly
apprf)(~iated. Please see eJ'lclasf!d Site Plan-

Re: Boynton Festive Center
Boynton Beach, Florida
Dear Mr. McMillen:
Pursuant to your request, we have analyzed the approved site
plan, with the intent of providing additional east/west landscape
strips in some of the existing parking rows.
For efficient traffic flow, the proposed east/west drive on the
approved site plan, was aligned with the existing east/west drive
that is accessing Congress Avenue. Applying the code required
dimensions for parking bays and drives, from this fixed position,
results in the layout as shown on the approved plan. Any revision
to this configuration would result in a loss of an entire double
row of parking spaces, in critical locations.
If we can be of further help regarding this matter, please do not
hesitate to call.
Very truly yours,
TheOre ~~k :::;Ciates,
