Accompanying this memorandum you will find a copy of the
application and related documentation for the above-referenced
request for a variance to Section 5-142 (h) (3) "Driveways" of
Article X - Parking Lots. A check in the amount of $400.00 to
cover the review and processing of this application has been
forwarded to the Finance Department. The public hearing is
scheduled for the November 8, 1994 Planning and Development Board
meeting.
A legal advertisement will be prepared and forwarded to your office
after review by the City Attorney and city Manager's office.

Gulfstream Professional Building - PKLV #94-002
Variance for driveway distance to intersection
please place the above-referenced request on the November 15,
1994 City Commission agenda under Development Plans, Non-consent
Agenda (a City Commission public hearing is not required).
DESCRIPTION: A parking lot variance, submitted by Robert Lake,
is requested in connection with a major site plan modification to
the Gulfstrearn Professional Building at 500 S.E. 36th Avenue
(Gulfstream Boul~vard). Due to a change in occupancy from office
to church use, the parking facility is required to meet current
standards. The existing driveway on old Dixie Highway is 40 feet
short of the 180 foot minimum distance required between the
driveway and the intersection of Old Dixie Highway and S.E. 36th
Avenue. Relief is sought to retain the existing driveway without
modifications.
RECOMMENDATION: The Planning and Development Board unanimously
recommends approval of this variance request, as submitted.
