DEPAR'l'MENT OF DEVELOPMENT
MEMORANDUM NO. 95-036
FROM:
James Cherof
City Attorney
'i~ v. Hukill, P.E.
~~~ent of Development Director
MEADOWS - ENTRANCE SIGN AGREEMENT
TO:
RE:
The City Clerk's office has turned up a 1985 agreement (attached)
between the City and The Meadows Development allowing a sign in a
City park area to identify the north roadway into the
development. That's the good news. The bad news is that the
agreement expired in 1990.
We do not know which department, or what individual, wrote the
agreement, but it should either be extended or the sign removed.
Parks Director Frederick has opined this date that it should be
renewed for a much longer period, perhaps 30 years.
My suggestion is that you prepare an extension to the agreement
for 30 years and offer it to the Property Owners Association and
City Commission for consideration as you feel appropriate.
