Whenever possible, the pole location should be such that the lighting fixtures shine toward the buildings. The lighting system shall be controlled by photoelectric switches. The poles and fixtures shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 12 of the standard Building Code for minimum design loads. The supplied drawings shall show the details of the pole foundation and a statement declaring the design to be capable of withstanding a 110 HPH lateral wind load. There shall be a minimum average light level of one foot- candle.
