CORRESPONDENCE PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM #93-074 FROM: J. Scott Miller city Manager ~~ Christopher cutro Planning and Zoning Director TO: DATE: April 16, 1993 RE: PolIo Tropical Community Design Appeal As part of the conditional use review for the PolIo Tropical restaurant and drive-thru, a Community Design appeal has been filed by the applicant. The development is located in the Coastal Village Design area, but the remainder of the Shoppes of Boynton is done in Spanish Mediterranean Design. The design proposed by PolIo Tropical is more akin to a Mediterranean/Spanish architecture and will be compatible with other buildings on site. The Planning and Development Board reviewed this request at its meeting of April 13, 1993 and forwarded this request to the City Commission with a recommendation for approval. This structure might have been exempt from this review except that overall the use being housed in the structure is different than originally proposed on the site and the architecture is different than originally pr~posed in the original site plan for the bank. This item has been scheduled for City Commission review and final determination at its meeting of April 20, 1993. CC/jm PLEASE NOTE: BACKUP FOR THIS REQUEST IS INCLUDED IN THE CONDITIONAL USE BACKUP PACKAGE. A:POLLOCON.JM ~ Plhf!O Tr"p;r' f J!a ~ \!~ I,", (;I CHICKEN ON THE GRILL April 2, 1993 J"-"-' ->,..
