Site Plan Modification - Sign
With respect to the above-referenced project, please be advised
that the following comments will need to be addressed through
final sign-off prior to applying for a sign permit with the
Building Department:
1. Add the scale of the drawing to the sign elevation
sheet. Chapter 19, Article II, Section 19-17.
2. Reattach the detail sheet to the drawing set that was
included in the first submittal. (Resubmittals for
site plan approval need to include a complete set of
drawings.) Appendix A, Section 11(A).

RE: ADMINISTRATIVE SITE PLAN UNDER $lOO,OOO for
OFFICE DEPOT AT LEISUREVILLE PLAZA (SIGN)
Upon review of the above mentioned project, the following
comments must be addressed in order to conform with Boynton Beach
City Codes:
l. All drawings submitted for public record must show original
signature and seal.
2. Provide a site plan drawing showing all existing easements
and identify location of sign by showing setback dimensions
from two adjacent property lines.
3. Identify color of sign structure, sign cabinet, sign face
and copy.
4. The definition of free-standing sign allows the sign to
identify title of project or one main use only. Provide
letter from owner of site that they accept these
requirements for the proposed free-standing sign.
5. Sign structures exceeding 40 square feet require drawings
prepared by a Florida registered engineer showing and
stating that the design of this sign structure will
withstand 50 pounds per square foot wind pressure.
In order to facilitate the permitting process, the following
information should be included within your documents submitted to
the Building Department for required permits:
l.
Provide written verification from Florida Power and Light
that location of sign structure is acceptable in relation to
the existing power pole andlor power lines.

Site Plan Modification - sign
Please be advised that the Technical Review Board postponed taking
action on this request until further information is submitted. The
plans submitted for administrative review by the Technical Review
Board do not meet the minimum submittal requirements and are
deficient with respect to the following items:
1. Provide a scale on the site plan. The scale on the sign
elevation is not legible. Appendix A-Zoning, Section 11.A.1.
2. Indicate setback of sign from the right-of-way. The sign
appears to be in the right-of-way which is not permitted.
Appendix A-Zoning, Section ll-A-10.
3. Indicate letter size and sign and letter color. (This
information will be needed on the sign permit application
plans.)
4. A survey is required. It should show the Boynton Beach
Boulevard right-of-way line, existing landscaping, curbing and
parking spaces in the vicinity of the proposed sign and
utilities. Appendix A-Zoning, Section ll.A.1.
5. Page 9 of the site plan application must be received in order
to verify that Bishop Signs, Inc. has been given the authority
to represent the owner on behalf of this sign request. Chapter
19, Article II, Section 19-17.1.
To continue in the administrative site plan review process, six
complete sets of plans that address all departments' comments will
need to be submitted to the Planning Department no later than 5:00
p.m., October 30, 1989 for the November 7, 1989 Technical Review
Board meeting.

sign located on Boynton Beach Blvd. (s.a. 804). It i! understood
that this is the only pylon si9n that will be permitted on Boynton
Beach Blvd. (S.R. 804)~
This letter also authorizee Office Depot to install a 61 x 661
sign on th~ building canopy (of the former Winn Dixie store).
