CORRESPONDENCE d. m. ambrose associates, Inc. consulting engineers - land surveyors February 20, 1985 Mr. Carmen S. Annunziato Director of Planning and Zoning City of Boynton Beach 120 N.E. 2nd Avenue Boynton Beach, Fl. .~, ~ Re: Cherry Halk, Phase I (Formerly Lakes of Tara PUD) Dear Mr. Annunziato: Submitted herewith are revised prints of the Master Site Plan for Cherry {1;'a1k, Phase I, (Formerly Lakes of Tara PUD). The revisions include revised plans of the recreation facility which indicates that Lot 43 of the project shall be permanent- ly assigned as part of that facility. This is necessary to accommodate the City's parking requirements. The recreation facility still reflects a 20 feet by 40 feet pool and a 1200 square feet recreation building which is consistent with the original PUD submittal. The second revision is the delineation of the lake perimeter. The original PUD indicated a lake that was not reflective of existing conditions. The project owners', Coral Gables Feder- al Savings and Loan of Miami, Florida, have made a major ef~ fort to fill the east end of the twenty-five feet deep lake and have been meet with great difficulty in stabilizing the fill as it has been placed. At great expense, the east bank of the lake has been increased by twenty feet width from ori- ginal conditions. As the fill is placed further west the lake deepens and it is unlikely that additional land can be readily stabilized. We propose in this revised site plan a relatively flat lake- side green belt of twenty feet width and then a lake bank of sixteen feet width at a four to one slope. In addition there is a ten feet wide fee simple rear yard in each home site. Coral Gables Federal has made an extensive and sincere effort to complete this project and safeguard the interests of all interested parties at Cherry Walk. We trust that your City will approve of this Site Plan revision so that the project may be completed at the earliest possible date. INC. ~ D.H.
