Subject: Motorola Parking Lot Addition
Motorola Plant
Boynton Beach, Fla.
Dear Mr. Clark:
In a meeting on January 4, 1988 with Mr. Bill Flushing of the
City of Boynton Beach Engineering Dept. we were advised to submit
to you one copy of civil engineering plans for the proposed parking
lot addition for your preliminary review.
The attached plans illustrate how the proposed parking lot
addition will connect to existing parking at the Motorola plant
site. Drainage will be provided by constructing two inlets - one
inlet at either end of the parking lot addition and connecting via
drainage pipes to existing inlets within the existing parking
area.
Also please find attached a copy of the South Florida Water
Management District permit for the Motorola plant site. According
to the permit, the parking lot addition is included in the overall
drainage scheme and drainage capacity for this parking area has
already been provided for in the overall lake system.
We are aware that the proposed plan is not in conformance
with the latest parking lot criteria for the City of Boynton Beach,
however, there is currently 1150 parking stalls at the Motorola
site; and we would like the additional 250 parking stalls to
conform with the existing parking scheme that is currently in
service. We would also like to begin the process for obtaining
variances that may be required so as that we may conform to the
existing parking.
