NATURE OF VARIANCE REQUESTED:
Improve internal traIIic circulation within the site by opening a
section OI curbing within the project (see attached sketches) which
will allow a right in and a right out movement xrom the currently
isolated parking area at the Southeast corner ox the project. This:
will enhance the internal circulation to allow xor circumnavigating
the site without driving oxx-site thereby increasing unnecessary
traIxic on Congress, Quantum Drive or more importantly 22nd Avenue,
or creating an illegal U-turn situation on 22nd Avenue to access
this portion OI our site.
STATEMENT OF SPECIAL CONDITIONS, HARDSHIPS, OF OTHER REASONS
JUSTIFYING THE REQUESTED VARIANCE:
The overriding reason xor this request is to provide Ior greater
traxxic saIety. Currently, both passenger vehicles and service
vehicles cannot access this portion ox the site in a practical,
rational and/or legal manner. While the intent ox creating traxxic
stacking areas beIore an internal intersection is widely recognized
and endorsed, in this instance there are so xew parking spaces and
there is suf'xicient distances: to not incumber this secondary
entrance. It is our position that while we may not xully comply
with the af'orementioned xixed dimensions we do comply with the
intent ox the ordinance and that in the b~st interest of' saf'ety,
that this (technical deviation) variance should pe granted.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning & Zoning Board of the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, shall meet at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 14, 1991,
at City Hall Commission Chambers, 100 East Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton
Beach, to consider an application for A PARKING LOT VARIANCE on the

driveway shall be one hundred (100) feet.

To reduce the distance from the N.W. 22nd Avenue
right~of-way line at the shopping center
entrance from N.W. 22nd Ave. to an interior
access aisle to 27 feet.

Shoppes of Boynton Shopping Center
All interested parties are notified to appear at said hearing in person
or by attorney and be heard. Any person who decides to appeal any
decision of the Planning & Zoning Board with respect to any matter
considered at this meeting will, need a record of the proceedings and for
such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings
is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the
appeal is to be based.
