Re: NationsBank Property at Woolbright Road and U.S. 1
Non-conforming Status of Sign and Landscaping
Dear Mr. Stockamore:
In response to your request for information on the non-conforming status of your site, please be
informed that the study recently conducted by the City determined that the sign is considered
conforming with City regulations, and your landscaping is described as deficient but would
require minimal enhancements (such as replacing dead plant material or adding minimal new
material within existing landscaped areas) to conform to minimum landscaping requirements.
I realize this is only a general response to your question, which I am capable of providing rather
quickly using the data from the U.S. 1 corridor study. However, more details on the landscaping.
deficiencies could only be done through the evaluation of a property site plan.
If you have any questions regarding this response, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
7'u _G. ~

Dear Mr. Rumpf:
We are owners ofa parcel of land at the southeast corner of Woolbright Road and U.S. 1
under the name of "W oolfed, Inc.". I understand from the minutes of the workshop held on
April 23, 1998, that there are various non-conforming signs and landscape along this corridor.
I would appreciate it if you would explain to me which of these items affect our previously
referenced parcel, which is a NationsBank building at the southeast corner of this intersection.
Please forward any information regarding this matter to us for review and consideration.

RE: NATIONSBANK
Dear Ms. Heyden:
The Palm Beach County Traffic Division has reviewed the information provided by
Gary Peterson, regarding the proposed addition to NationsBank at the southwest
corner of Congress Avenue and Boynton Beach Boulevard. Any addition to a bank
will have a traffic impact associated with it. For the purpose of the Traffic
Performance Standards and Impact Fees, the traffic impact is 127 net daily trips
per 1,000 square feet. Jersey has informed me that the proposed addition will
be 926 square feet. This results in a traffic impact of 123 net daily trips.
The build-out for the project is 1996.
A project that generates less than 200 net daily trips is not required to prepare
a traffic impact study. The Traffic Division has done the required analysis and
determined that the project meets the requirements of the Traffic Performance
Standards of Palm Beach County. If you have any questions regarding this
determination, please contact me at 684-4030.
Sincerely,
