I have previously contacted Lawson & Noble, the engineers
and asked them to revise their water and sewer plans to
include one more fire hydrant on the east side and two
valves at the southeast corner of the west building so that
fire and water service can be maintained from either direc-
tion, in case of an emergency.

RE: Pylon Interstate Park
This is an additional memo concerning this proposed commer-
cial development. As you know, Boynton Beach Commerce
Park built the pumping station which will be used by the
above people.
In order to prevent the City from being in the middle, it
shall be required that these people furnish the city the
necessary legal documents covering an agreement between
Boynton Beach Commerce Park and Pylon, as to Pylon's cost,
if any, in the construction of the lift station and the
force main.

RE: Pylon Interstate Plaza - Site Plan
The following comments are provided relative to the parking lot
lighting plans for subject project:
l. Sodium vapor lighting required.
2. The use of 100 watt HPSV lamps (in lieu of the proposed 250
watt MH lamps) is recommended. This would provide adequate
illumination at a 60% reduction in energy consumption.

Pylon Interstate Park Lighting Plan
This is in resp:mse to your request for ccmnents regarding subject project and
related oorrespondence fran Joe Ellen Leisinger of Urban Design Studio dated
April 3, 1985.
Under the circumstances I have no problem with the substitution of 175w MH lamps
for the originally proposed 250w MH lamps inasmuch as Metal Halide is an accep-
table energy-efficient type, and particularly since the applicant has readily
agreed to reduce the site lighting energy requirements.
As I have subsequently m:mtioned to Mrs. Leisinger, however, rcw recannendation
would be to explore the use of the new, "wbi ter" oolor HPSV lamps in place of
Metal Halide. These, if available, would further reduce energy requirements and
oost, and would provide an added advantage of nearly double the lamp life c:xm-
pared to Metal Halide.
'1bank you for the opportunity to ccmnent.
