Joseph's Episcopal Church and School - LAAP #94-003 Landscape Appeal (vehicle use area and hedge screening) Please place the above-referenced item on the City Commission agenda for June 21, 1994 under Development Plans, Consent Agenda. DESCRIPTION: In connection with conditional use approval for a new classroom building and gymnasium at st. Joseph's Episcopal Church and school at 3300 South Seacrest Boulevard, appeals to section 7.5 - 35 (d) and (e) of the landscape code are requested. These sections of the code require hedge screening of the vehicular use areas from abutting properties and trees and hedge screening of vehicular use areas from public rights-of-way. Some of this landscaping requested to be omitted is landscaping that was required with the last approval in 1988, but is not in place. RECOMMENDATION: The Planning and Development Board unanimously recommends approval of this landscape appeal, subject to staff comments (Planning and Zoning Department Memorandum #94-165; comments 1 - 4). In general, staff comments recommend that all required landscaping be installed with the exception of hedge screening of the driveway off of Seacrest Boulevard and the driveway off of swinton Avenue.
