Accompanying this memorandum you will find colored elevations for
the following projects which have been approved:
COMMUNITY DESIGN PLAN REVIEW
1. Fina Service Station: (Canopy and Freestanding Signage)
Two (2) colored elevations. Community Redevelopment Agency
approved on December 14, 1992.
SITE PLAN MODIFICATION
1. Motorola - Phase III Expansion: (Construct 83,564 square feet
of additional office space and cnanqes to parking lot layout
and the addition of 112 parking spaces)
One (1) colored elevation. City Commission approved, November
19, 1991, subject to staff comments.

Fina Station, Southwest corner Boynton Beach Boulevard
and Federal Highway
The City Commission will recall that when the site plan for the
Tire Store was approved in 1992, the owners indicated they would
be attempting to attract an oil franchise to the site.
The owners have received a franchise from Fina and now wish to
erect signs on site. The Fina sign is predominantly a dark blue
with white and red lettering and highlighting.
These colors are not allowed under the guidelines for signage for
the CBD zoning district.
The Community Redevelopment Advisory Board, at its meeting of
December 14, 1992, reviewed this proposal and forwarded it to
Community Redevelopment Agency (City Commission) with a
recommendation for approval.
This item has been scheduled for Community Redevelopment Agency
(City Commission) review and final disposition on January 19,
1993.

(Boynton Beach Boulevard and Federal Highway)
Members of the CRAB will recall that a site plan was approved
earlier in the year for the Tire Store, which is located at the
southwest corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Federal Highway.
The owner of the property has now found a gasoline dealer for the
site and the signage for the site must be reviewed by the Board.
The freestanding sign is predominantly dark blue with white price
lettering and red highlight. The canopy sign is dark blue and
red. The blue color is similar to the recommended blue for the
downtown. Red is not an acceptable color, but has been approved
by the Board on previous occasions.
A picture of the sign and color renderings will be available at
the Board meeting.
We would ask that the Board make a recommendation to the CRA
regarding these signs.
This item has been scheduled for Board review on December 14,
1992.
