September 20, 1995 FOREST COURT/CEDAR RIDGE STREET ABANDONMENT DATE: RE: Mr. Cherof's comments on this subject have not addressed the issue of street/ROW ownership for subject street. To suggest payment for legal work by the Engineering Department is ludicrous for two reasons. Firstly, there are no funds for legal work and secondly, there is no Engineering Department. His suggestion that applicants provide proof of ownership with application for abandonment is excellent. We still don't know who owns Forest Court. We did not request that you limit your review to dedications, but rather to determine whether Forest Court and the other streets on its north side are City streets. We will be very happy to accept a definitive determination extracted from the dedications, but we need to know street ownership whether you obtain it in dedications or elsewhere.
