FOREST COURT/CEDAR RIDGE STREET ABANDONMENT
DATE:
RE:
Mr. Cherof's comments on this subject have not addressed the issue
of street/ROW ownership for subject street. To suggest payment for
legal work by the Engineering Department is ludicrous for two
reasons. Firstly, there are no funds for legal work and secondly,
there is no Engineering Department.
His suggestion that applicants provide proof of ownership with
application for abandonment is excellent.
We still don't know who owns Forest Court.

RE:
ROAD ABANDONMENT REQUEST - FOREST COURT/CEDAR RIDGE PUD
We are puzzled by your September 5 memo referring to subject
abandonment request. We did not request that you limit your review
to dedications, but rather to determine whether Forest Court and
the other streets on its north side are City streets. We will be
very happy to accept a definitive determination extracted from the
dedications, but we need to know street ownership whether you
obtain it in dedications or elsewhere.

RE:
I have reviewed your Memorandum, and I will be happy to assist you in your
review of the plat referenced in your Memorandum No. 95-321. I will limit my review to
an evaluation of the dedications spelled out on the face of the plat.

RE:
ROAD ABANDONMENT REQUEST - FOREST COURT/CEDAR RIDGE PUD
Subject application is incomplete as no surveyor any other plat,
map or drawing is attached. We have looked at the plat and the
specific area proposed for abandonment does not appear thereon in
identifiable form. The plat, in fact is unclear as to whether this
Q ~oad is a City street.
~':f\_c:,C~tJ,( We suggest City attorney Cheraf review this plat and determine
~ whether Forest Court is a City street prior to the abandonment. If
~Q.. y'", ~^it is, he should determine whether the other similar streets
~ \~ ~ intersecting Forest Road on it's north side are City streets. Sign
~"..f! offs should be obtained from affected, or potentially affected
~~ utilities if this goes forward.
~-\c\<), This should be held until an ownership determination is made
L IV L:, b7cause several streets in the PUD not currently considered to be
~ ~ o~ C1.ty streets may suddenly become ours.
