RE:
Moving Meeting to Third Monday
As you know, staff recently polled Board members to
determine if the regular meetings of the Board could be moved to
the third Monday of the month instead of the second Monday.
The results of our poll indicate that the majority of the
Board could meet and is willing to meet on the third Monday of
the month.
The movement of the meeting would help staff because at the
present time we are preparing three packages (Board of
Adjustment, Planning and Development Board and Community
Redevelopment Advisory Board) at the same time. In addition, we
are often preparing backup or correspondence for City Commission
items. At the present time, this puts quite a strain on staff,
which is shorthanded due to budget cuts.
Unless there are complications, we will move the meetings of
the Board of Adjustment to the third Monday of the month starting
with the August meeting.
I would like to thank you for your cooperation and
understanding in this matter.
