RE: Request for Landscape Code Relief along East Property
Line of for proposed Warehouse/Office Addition for Ridgeway
Plumbing at 640 E. Industrial Ave. in Boynton Beach, FL.
Dear Mr. Rumpf:
This letter is being written requesting relief from the City
of Boynton Beach's Landscape Code Chapter 7.5, Article II,
Section 5, Item E which stipulates that a landscaping barrier
be installed along all adjacent property lines where off-
street parking and other vehicular use areas exist to prevent
viewing by the public. For the proposed warehouse/office
addition at Ridgeway Plumbing, which we have submitted for
site plan approval, a S,A.L, railroad right-of-way exists
along the east property line adjacent to the Ridgeway
Plumbing's property. Additionally, along the east side of
the S.A.L. railroad right-of-way, an earth berm also exists
between the S.A.L. railroad right-of-way and the 1-95
corridor.
Due to this fact, we are requesting that Ridgeway Plumbing be
granted relief from this code requirement of installing a
landscape barrier along this property line since both public
access is restricted in this area and additionally since this
property line is out of view of the general public.
Note: It is our intent to meet the requirements of the City
of Boynton Beach's landscape code on the other portions of
the property and are only seeking relief in regards to
installing a landscape barrier along the east property line.
If you have any questions in regards to this letter, please
feel free to contact me.
