As a follow up to our conversation regarding the "Use Application" for Whitfield
Interiors, who is a tenant of ours at 4935 Park Ridge Blvd., please find outlined below
a detailed description oftheir use and process:
Whitfield Interiors designs and manufactures fine custom furnishings such as desks,
libraries, wall units, and home theater systems. They first design plans and
specifications. Then select the appropriate materials. Then the final process is to cut,
measure and assemble the materials in accordance with the specifications.
With regards to the 11 points you mentioned by the City of Boynton Beach Code,
please note the following:

Noise -- The noise is very minimal and is within the boundaries of Section
155-8 of the City of Boynton Beach Code of Ordinances.
Vibrations -- There are no vibrations.
Smoke Dust & Dirt -- There is no smoke. The dust is very minimal and they
have a high tech dust collection system thar j;amedial.dy removes any clast
debris as the material is manufactured.
Odors and Fumes -- There are no odors or fumes.
Toxic or Noxious Matter- There is no toxic or noxious matter.
Fire and EX.j)losion Hazards -- There are no Fire and Explosion Hazards.
Heat. Humidity or Glare - They do not produce heat, humidity or glare.
Liquid Waste -- There is no liquid waste.
Solid Waste -- Solid Waste is in conformance with Chapter 10 of the City of
Boynton Beach Code or Ordinance. (Assuming that solid waste refers to
"excess material (i.e. small wood particles, etc.)
Electromagnetic Interference - Not applicable to this tenant.
Hazardous Materials and/or Waste - None is produced.

obtain the necessary approval for operation within Quantum Park,

The excerpt from the zoning code, page 2-65, is where it is described that new uses for an
established PID must be reviewed for approval onto the List of Approved Uses, As there are no
similar businesses currently within the Park which are on the list, this business must be formally
added to the list As PID's are typically large, and therefore develop incrementally over time,
this use approval process, I assume, exists to review subsequent uses for conformity with the
code,

E. USES PERMITIED. In the PID, a building and its customary ancillary structures
and land uses may be erected, altered and occupied for any office, professional,
business (wholesale or retail), educational institution, adult entertainment in
accordance with Section II.M., or industrial use provided that such use or uses is/are
approved by the planning and development board. In approving uses in the PID, the
planning and development board shall make findings that the use or uses proposed
will not be in conflict with the performance standards listed in Section 4.N. of these
zoning regulations, and that the use or uses proposed is/are consistent with the intent
and purpose of this section. For the purpose of this section, educational institution
shall mean a public, quasi-public or private facility that offers instruction to students
for one (1) or more of the following needs: preschool programming; tutoring;
kindergarten, elementary and secondary grades schooling; higher learning for the
purpose of granting degrees in a particular field and occupational or industrial,
technical training. In addition, uses permitted are subject to limitations as follows:
1. Outdoor storage of materials may be permitted based on a finding of the
planning and development board that such storage does not exceed fifteen (15)
per cent of the total square footage of the building site and that such storage is
screened and fenced to preclude exposure to the public; and
2. All uses proposed which are listed in Section 8.A.3 shall require the issuance
of an environmental review permit as set forth in Section 11.3 of these zoning
regulations. Furthermore, the planning and development board may require that
any other use obtain an environmental review permit, prior to being established
in a particular PID.
Any use approved by the planning and development board for a particular PID
which uses, handles, stores, or displays hazardous materials, or which .
generates hazardous waste, as defmed by 40 Code of Federal Regulations, Part
261, shall also require an environmental review permit in accordance with
Section 11.3 of these zoning regulations.
F. USES PROHIBITED.
1. Residential uses with the exception of accessory hotels or motels.
2. Acid manufacture.
3. Cementand/or lime manufacture or processing.
4. Lumber yards.
5. Asphalt and tar plants.
6. Manufacture or storage of explosives.

This letter is being written to request an additional use category to the Quantum Park
Industrial Use Code.
Butters Construction & Development (BCD) recently completed a 22,600 square foot
industrial facility that is partially occupied by the Sun Sentinel and Essa Enterprises.
The last bay is leased to Whitfield Interiors, Inc. Whitfield Interiors, Inc. is a well
established, Boynton Beach based business and is currently expanding and relocating
their operation to Quantum Park. Whitfield is a designer and fabricator of upscale
furnishings (see enclosed photos), They will use the facility for office, administrative
use, design, storage, and light fabrication/assembly of furniture,
Butters Construction & Development is one of Florida's top ten developers, We
enjoyed working in the City of Boynton Beach and hope to expand and build other
facilities in Quantum Park. I have enclosed a brochure on our firm for your review,
