RE: u>t 5 High Ridge Commerce Park
Dear Mr. Hallahan:
At the request of AI Siwik of Ahrens Companies, C & N Environmental.
Consultants, Inc (C & N) conducted a gopher tortoise survey on, a -/- 1,0 Acre Parcel.
known as Lot 5. The site is located within High Ridge Commerce Park, which IS situated
on the eastern side of High Ridge Road between Hypoluxo Road and Gateway Boulevard
Boynton Beach, Florida. Lot 5 abuts Commerce Road io the south and Cedar Ridge
Residential Development to the north. Vacant property borde~ both the eastern and
westem boundaries of the parcel. The results of the survey are as follows
,
Lot 5 consists of a heavily veg\mlted' rectangular s~aped pareel, approximately
135' in width by 364' in length. Australian pine (CasuarifIiJ eqwsetifulia), indicative of
previous clearing activities, dominates the vcgetative canopy. As a result, the ground is
covered by a very thick layer Of decaying pine needles which has displaced the majority
of native groundcQver species. Other exotic vegetative 'specles noted include Brazilian
pepper (Schinu., te1'ehinlh!fnliu.f), ~adagascar periwinkle (Catherantlls 1'oseli.l'), puncture
vine (T1'th,)llJS cis/aides) and half-flower (Scaevola se1'icea). Although remnant native
species including dune beach sunflower (Helicmthli.l' debll;s) and cabbage palm (Sabal
palmet/o)' persist in limited quantities throughout the perimeter of the site, the original
habitat has been significantly degraded in past years. As a result of the limited forage
base and adequate burrOwing conditions (open, sunny areas), it is Unlikely that gopher
tortoise would occur on site. No burrows were noted during the" survey
Please call with any questions or concerns

RE: Materials for cast stone products by Pineapple Grolle Designs
Mr. Barber:
Pineapple Grove Designs manufactures bas-relief cast stone prodl.lcts for the
architacturallrade The product line consists of medallion and frieze panels 1" thick of
varying horIzontal and vertical dimensions (from 8" by 8" to 48" by 48"). The panels are
ollered in a variety of designs.
The cast stone items are composed of "all natural" materials -portland cement, ~raded
sand, colored aggregate, dry pigment and water, Small amounts of admixtures are
sometimes added. The admixtures are supplied by W.R. Grace. The orand names of
these products are Daracem-19 (a water reducer) and Darapel (a waterproofer).
The cast stone products contain no polymers. hydrocarbons or plastics. Waste material
resulting from the cast stone products are product rejects (cured concrete)
Wash water used to clean mixers and tools is captured and reused. There is no net
loss 01 wash water except to evaporation.
The products are crated and palletized for shipping via common carrier. The crates are
built with plywood and cardboard using Styrofoam panels and "peanuts" as dunage.
Waste material includes scrap lumber, scrap cardboard and scrap Styrofoam.

RE: Permit Application Number: 99-2647
Project: P.G.D. Inc.
Mr. Haag,
It was my pleasure meeting you today. Thank you for taking the time to review my
file for the above referenced permit.
This letter will serve to itemize the salient points of our conversation regarding the
site walls for Lot 5 and 6 of High ridge Commerce Park.
The permit documents for lot 5 indicate a 6' high site wall at the north property line
dividing this industrial site from the adjacent residential site. The elevation of the
residential site appears to be raised approx. 24" above its original elevation. 1 would like
to raise the proposed sitewall to correspond with this new elevation. I would also like to
raise the grade adjacent to this wall on the industrial side to match the elevation of the
grade on the residential side while keeping the storm water retention characteristics
currently designed for this project.
Lot 6 is currently vacant. I plan to erect a building on it identical to the one planned
for lot 5. I would like to construct the site wall on lot 5 and 6 at the same time. This will
be more economical for me and more quickly provide a buffer for the adjacent residents.
If this is possible I will provide your office with the necessary documentation along with
the permit application.
I may be reached at 561-272-4595. Please call if you need more information.
Thanks for ur continued assistance.
