Dear Mr. Rumpf:
Thank you for taking the time to meet with us to discuss the City's Code Review process.
As you know, this firm represents the owner of the Boynton Landings Apartments (the
"Property").
Based upon our meeting and your June 20, 2000 letter, we desire to pursue the approval
of the signs where they are currently located and this letter serves as an application for Code
Review to amend the City's regulations. Enclosed please find a check in the amount of $250.00
to cover the Code Review application fee,
As you know, Chapter 21, Article II, Section 3 D. currently prohibits "banners." We
hereby request modification to Chapter 21, Article II, Section 3 D, by adding the following
sentence at the end of that section:
"Notwithstanding anything contained in this Chapter to the contrary, banners shall be
permitted if they have an attractive appearance, the support poles are installed by direct burial
with the bottom at least 24 inches below grade and the poles are able to withstand sustained
winds 0 f at least 100 miles per hour."
