RECOMMENDATION: Please place the request below on the May 4, 1999 City Commission agenda under Legal-
Ordinances 15\ Reading. As you recall, at the April 20th City Commission meeting this request was approved for the
reclassification of the subject property to Local Retail Commercial, and rezoning to C-2, Neighborhood Commercial and all
conditions were favored by the Commission except for limitations on use and hours of operations. Staff recommends this
request be approved.

NOTICE OF REZONING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning and Development Board of THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING at CITY HALL COMMISSION CHAMBERS, 100
East Boynton Beach Boulevard, on Tuesday, April 13, 1999 at 7:00 p.m., to consider this request
submitted by Martin L. O'Shea, agent, for Robert Katz, property owner, for property located at 306 S.E.
1st Avenue. The City Commission of THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, will also hold a
public hearing to consider this request on April 20, 1999 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the
agenda permits at the City Hall Commission Chambers.
NATURE OF REQUEST:
Amendment to the Future Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan from Low Density Residential
(LDR) to Local Retail Commercial (LRC) and rezone the property from R1A to C2 to allow for adaptive
reuse of historic home and parking facilities.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Lots 4, 5, and 6, Block 11, Town of Boynton, a subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 23, in the
public records of Palm Beach County, Florida.
All interested parties are notified to appear at said hearings in person or by attorney and be heard. Any
person who decides to appeal any decision of the Planning and Development Board or City
Commission with respect to any matter considered at these meetings will need a record of the
proceedings and for such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is
made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
