The purpose of the rezoning application is that under the Residential zoning, single family residential use is a permitted use. The C-l zoning would allow the residence to be used as a museum. It would the parking lot, which may be required as the property in Block 8, immediately north of the house, which is also owned by the applicant, is renovated and reconstructed. The existing zoning would allow two additional single family residences on this property, but the community interests may be better served through this rezoning to C.:i-.. Z ~ h. (1) As previously stated, two additional single family residences could be constructed on this parcel. The proposed zoning would allow the house to be used for quasi-public purposes (museum). It would allow the parking lot. The owner is also in the process of seeking the abandonment of the alley on the south side of this parcel allowing for an enhanced landscaping buffer on the south side. 2~ (2) Commercial uses would be allowed under the C-l zoning classification, hence the use of the house for quasi-public purposes would be permitted. This -e=-l Zzdiiing category would not allow any more single family residences to be constructed here. (3) The house on this parcel is presently under the process of restoration. The zoning action of the City of Boynton Beach will dictate the future use of the property.
