As a response, allow me to offer the following information. A formal request for annexation is made through filing and submitting the respective application form accompanied by the corresponding fee. To complete the annexation process, a land use amendment and rezoning applications, along with the pertaining fees, must be submitted in our offices. City of Boynton Beach Comprehensive Plan, Land Use Problems and Opportunities, recommends that the properties within the unincorporated area fronting Old Dixie Highway should be placed in a General Commercial land use category, and in the Commercial General (C-4) zoning district. Current Land Development Regulations for the City of Boynton Beach allow automotive storage and repair uses in the C-4 zoning district, subject to Environmental Review permit, thus making it a suitable zoning district for the current use of your properties, once they are annexed into the City of Boynton Beach. Furthermore, once a property is annexed into the City, it carries the existing use as a grand-fathered right. I hope that the information hereby provided will clarify for you the annexation process. No application shall be accepted unless it is presented on the official form of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida. The applicant must submit two copies of. this application and other required information. Before an application may be accepted, it must fully comply with all required information as stated below.
