Box 310 Boynton Beach, FL 33425-0310 Re: Knuth Road and Old Boynton West Road Self Service Storage Facility Our Project No.: 1374,1 Dear Mr. Rumpf: Thank you for taking my call concerning the Conditional Use Approval for File COUS 99- 001. As you may recall, a condition (no. 19) was imposed requiring a minimum of 25% of the total costs of the improvements to be completed within one year of the Conditional Use Approval, unless a time extension is granted. For your information, the Development Order was approved on May 4, 1999. The purpose of this letter is to request a time extension by the Planning and Development Board and City Commission for Commencement of Development on this project. As you may know, the property owner has closed on the subject property and is in the final stages of completing their construction plans. At this point in time, the applicant anticipates submitting for building permit in the middle of May with the hope of receiving their building in July. For your information, to date, and since the Conditional Use approval, the applicant has incurred consulting expenses in excess of $35,000.00. These expenses were related to architectural, civil engineering, land surveying and landscape architectural services. Therefore, we respectfully request staff recommendation of an eight (8) month time extension to comply with the aforementioned Condition.
