DESCRIPTION The request to abandon a utility easement located on Lot 47-B in the
Quantum Park PID, in connection with the development of a Flowers Bakery
warehouse/distribution center, was approved by the Commission on October 16, 1966,
subject to staff comments Since October 15, 1996, all staff comments have been
addressed
RECOMMENDATION Now that all staff comments have been addressed to the
satisfaction of city staff and Florida Power and Light, adoption of the attached resolution
is in order to finalize this abandonment.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING at CITY HALL COMMISSION
CHAMBERS, 100 E. Boynton Beach Boulevard, Boynton Beach, Florida, on Tuesday,
October 15, 1996 at 7 00 P m to consider an application submitted by Spring Engineering,
Inc., agent for Quantum Associates to abandon a 15 foot wide utility easement located on
a parcel being part of lots 46A, 47A and 47B of Quantum Park in connection with
development of a Flower's Bakery warehouse/distribution center Said easement more
particularly described as follows
A 15 00 foot wide easement to be abandoned, lying in lot 47-B of the subdivision,
Quantum Park at Boynton Beach, a P I D , plat no 10, as recorded in plat book 60,
pages 34-36 of the public records of Palm Beach County, Florida
Said easement to be abandoned is described as the west 15 00 feet of the north
116 48 feet of lot 47 -B of the above described property
All interested parties are notified to appear at said hearing in person or by attorney and be
heard Any person who decides to appeal any decision of the Board of Adjustment with
respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings and
for such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made,
which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based

documents for the above-referenced abandonment application The $500 00 application
fee for staff processing and review has been forwarded to the Finance Department.
A legal advertisement for same has been prepared for the October 15, 1996 City
Commission Public Hearing and will be forwarded to your office after review by the City
Attorney and City Manager In order for our department to meet the deadline for preparing
Planning and Development Board agenda materials for this request, comments from staff
and the various concerned parties must be received by our office by September 28, 1996

DESCRIPTION Spring Engineering, Inc., agent for First Eagle Developments, Inc , the
contract purchaser, is requesting abandonment of a utility easement located on Lot 47-B
in the Quantum Park PID, in connection with the development of a Flowers Bakery
warehouse/distribution center For further details pertaining to this request, please see
attached Planning and Zoning Department Memorandum No 96-499
RECOMMENDATION The Planning and Development Board, with a 6-0 vote,
recommended approval subject to all the staff comments in Exhibit "F" - Conditions of
Approval
