The Palm Beach County Traffic DIViSIOn has reVIewed the traffic statement
(dated June 18, 1999) for the project entitled Quantum Park Lot 91. Ice
Skatmg FacilIty pursuant to the Traffic Performance Standards m Article 15
of the Palm Beach County Land Development Code. The project IS
summarIzed as follows

Buildout: 2000
This is a portion of a previously approved project (Quantum Corporate Park). Currently this site
is vested for the following uses: Office Park (1,685,772 sf); General Commercial Retail (426,888
sf); and General Industries, Light (2,784,354 sf).

RE: Quantum Park Ice Skating Facility - Lot 91 - #PTC99-65
Dear Ms. Matras:
The purpose of this letter is to respond to comments from AI Federico of the Palm Beach
County Traffic DivISion, dated June 17, 1999, regarding the traffic impact statement for the
above referenced project. The comment related to the use of the tnp generation rate from
Planet Ice in Palm Beach Gardens for this proposed facility
Because the proposed skating facility includes an 8,500 SF restaurant, which is not a part of
the Planet Ice facility, additional trips may be generated Based on discussions with County
staff, the trip generation calculations have been revised as shown on Attachment 1 The
driveway volumes have subsequently been updated as provided on Attachment 2
The inventory of committed land uses within Quantum Park has also been updated showing
that the proposed land use and intensity are within the limits of the origmal approval of the
Quantum Park DRI, as shown on the revised Attachment 3 Therefore, the proposed project
is not subject to the Traffic Performance Standards.

The applicant proposes to develop a 76/392 SF Ice Skating Facility with 2 rinks on lot 91 of
the Quantum Park in the City of Boynton Beach The site is located in the northeast
quadrant of High Ridge Road and Gateway Boulevard Access to the site is via one ingress
only and one egress only driveway connection to the access road on the north side of the site
which connects to High Ridge Road
The proposed development is projected to generate 699 daily trips, 34 AM peak hour trips
and 77 PM peak hour trips as shown on Attachment 1 Driveway volumes are provided on
Attachment 2
The Quantum Park DRI is an approved project, and is considered a Previous Approval under
Article 15/ Traffic Performance Standards, of the Palm Beach County Unified Land
Development Code (ULDC) The proposed land use and intensity are within the limits of the
original approval of the Quantum Park DRI, as shown on Attachment 3/ therefore, the
proposed project is not subject to the Traffic Performance Standards.
