I represent (1) Boynton Beach Hospitality, Inc , ("Boynton
Hospitality") owner of the west portion of Lot 1, Quantum Park, on
which the Hampton Inn is built, and (2) North Boynton Hospitality,
Inc , ("North Boynton Hospitality") owner of Lot 2 on which the
expansion of the Hampton Inn was approved
Pursuant to the approval of the expansion, Lot 2 will be
subdivided, and the portion on which the Hampton Inn will be
expanded will be sold to Boynton Hospitality and combined into a
ne.1T Lot 1 I write you to request the requirement to plat be
waived In that regard, I direct your attention to the Land
Development Regulations, City of Boynton Beach, Florida (LDR's),
Chapter 5, Article II, Section 1 It provides in pertinent part
except platting may be waived if
A The land to be subdivided is to be divided
into no more than two (2) contiguous lots and
no more than three (3) regularly shaped areas
are to be dedicated to the City of Boynton
Beach (easements, tracts, parks, rights-of-
way, etc ) and because

the waiving of the requirements for

The splitting of Lot 2 and the combination of a portion of Lot
2 with a portion of Lot 1, Quantum Park, meets both of these
criteria Lots 1 and 2 were created by the Quantum Park at Boynton
Beach, P I D Plat No 1, recorded at Plat Book 57, Pages 182-183
(Plat) The Plat was recorded in September of 1987 Obviously at
the time of platting all the required improvements were installed
and all the necessary dedications were made
This same process and approval was done to split Lot 1 into
two parts, the west portion on which the Hampton Inn is built and
the east part on which The Original Pancake House is built If you
wish, I can provide you with that approval for comparison
Enclosed are certified surveys of the two lots to be created
Also, I have prepared and enclosed a Notice of Waiver of Platting r7
for your and the City Attorney's review and approval ~
providing a package directly to Jim Cheroff, City Attorney (A> ask
that you and the City Attorney review this and provide me witIl any
changes either of you may want If Notice of Waiver of Platting
meets with your approval in its present form, please sign it, have
it approved by the City Commission, and return it to me for
recording After it is recorded I will provide you wi~h a copy for
your records
After the Notice of Waiver of Platting is recorded the portion
or Lot 2 for the expansion of the Hampton Inn will be conveyed to
Boynton Hospi tali ty There might be a delay in this due to
financing co~siderations, but it will certainly be done prior to
the building being completed
